The Fall of Sky byAlexia Purdy: Interview

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’ve been writing since I can remember, but seriously for publishing for about five years now. I write paranormal, fantasy, and contemporary fiction. I live in Las Vegas and have four kids who keep me really busy. I worked as a registered nurse for thirteen years before writing full time for two years now. It’s been my dream since I could read to be a writer and nurse.

What do you do when you are not writing?
I love to go on new adventures with my family, listen to music, go out and walk around the outdoors to hike, watch movies, sing, and read a lot.

When did you first start writing and when did you finish your first book!
I started writing when I was really little, maybe around five. I never did get around to finishing a novel until 2011, and it took me months to get it done.

Do you ever experience writer's block?
I don’t necessarily experience writer’s block but I experience a lack of motivation to write. It can last for months. But in the traditional sense, I don’t really run out of things to say, just the motivation to do it is hard to come by at times.

What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?

I think my favorite part of The Fall of Sky was writing Liv’s character. In general, she was the most raw character who was innately flawed to the point she knew it and didn’t care that she was broken. I loved her authenticity and her voice was the loudest so I enjoyed every part with her.

of control.

The fall is worth the pain…

Along with a sexy, blind percussionist

is the only escape, Liv and Audrey must make their way through a world of
sketchy music deals, sexy assassins, and unfathomable demands from those who
