The Missing Year by Belinda Frisch: Tens List

TENS LIST

It seems only fitting for The Missing Year blog tour that I choose the ten items on my bucket list. I have a long list, so consider this my top.

What are 10 items on your bucket list?

  1. Move out of New York. I hate the cold. I want to be near an ocean (or maybe a desert). Taxes here are reason enough to leave, though I could list a hundred more. That wasn’t the point of this list.
  2. Become a bestseller. This has been on my list since I was a teenager. I’m not greedy. I’ll take one … someday.
  3. Make my own wine. My brother-in-law does this and I hear it’s stinky (at least the strawberry wine he makes), but I want to learn to do this because who doesn’t love wine?
  4. Travel. I’ve been a mom since I was eighteen-years-old so I’d like to take a break and see some things I’ve never seen.
  5. Write a produced film script. I came close. I co-wrote a script for Cure, which had been optioned for film, but not financed. It was a big deal, until it wasn’t. I think the next thing on my bucket list should probably be becoming a juggernaut of disappointment.
  6. Work on a Hollywood set. I think the biggest let down was not being able to. I was *this* close. I love movies, and I’d love to work on one.
  7. Cook for a lot of people. One of my favorite things to do is cook (when I’m in the mood) and I’d love to do one of those pop-up restaurants. I don’t want to make a career, or a hobby of it, but one night …
  8. Learn to sew. This is low on the priority list, but I’m terrible at it. Just once I’d like to know how to make a quilt or something that didn’t look terrible. I make scrunchies in the 90’s somewhat successfully.
  9. Scuba dive. I’m OCD, claustrophobic, and terrified by the idea, but … I would LOVE to scuba dive one day.
  10. Meet my online friends, including Matt Schiariti. You ever talk to folks so much on Facebook you forget you don’t actually know them? Matt’s beta read my last couple of books and we talk daily. It’d be nice to break bread. Julie Cassar, Marissa Farrar, Thomas Amo, and R.A. Evans, we’ve electronically communicated for way too long. Time to meet up.
