Where do you dream of traveling to and why?
I’ve traveled all over the continental United States, Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands. I would love to go to Hawaii. I’m a nature lover, and the tropical paradise is something that I’d love to see and experience.
When in the day/night do you write? How long per day?
I write whenever I can squeeze in a spare moment. When my muse starts talking to me, I have to sit down and feed it. It could be for just a few minutes, or hours. Sometimes I have trouble sleeping. At those times, I’ll get up in the middle of the night and just write. I’ve written some of my best stuff at 2 a.m.
What was your first sale as an author?
My first sale was my first release last August. Wickford High The Revelation. It was with kNight Romance Publishing at the time in e-book only. It will be re-released on May 15th with World Castle Publishing in e-book and trade paperback.
What does your significant other and family think of your writing career?
My husband is very supportive of my writing. My career has recently taken a new turn, and I now have a publishing company.

Does your significant other read your stuff?
In short, no, he’s never read anything that I’ve written. He’s not a reader. Several writers that I’ve talked to have told me that their spouses don’t read their work either. Maybe it’s better that way. It could avoid a disagreement if they didn’t like what we wrote.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?
Yes, I do have beta readers. I value their opinions greatly. I love the eagerness and excitement in their eyes when a new chapter is ready. Their reactions keep me motivated.
What do you do to unwind and relax?
I write, of course. Writing is the best way for me to work out the tensions of the day and wind down so that I can sleep. My husband thinks that I’m nuts sometimes, but it works for me.
Thank you so much Karen for taking this time out to chat briefly with me and allowing us to find out a little more about you.  I am thrilled that you have undertaken a new business with World Castle Books and I just know that it will be a success for you and an outstanding opportunity for some new authors to get their books published.  I can also say as a reader I am very excited about the opportunity to discover books from more talented authors.  I wish you all the very best!
